CHI made me a mom, but more importantly, it made my girls daughters. Eight years after that first warm and friendly email, we still consider CHI a part of our family, and we always will. CHI was there for the nervous first-time Mom in Bulgaria in 2012. CHI was there even in the wee hours of the morning Pacific time when we were struggling in China with a very frightened little girl in 2016. Without CHI our family simply wouldn’t exist. I don’t want to think about where my girls would be. I cannot imagine adopting without that kind of support.

CHI held our hands through the entire process and always responded to our questions and concerns in a timely and friendly way. We had a wonderful experience adopting thru CHI! We selected the Bulgaria program because it was predictable, close to our family’s heritage and because we liked the idea of being able to meet our child before committing to the adoption. They helped us to identify a waiting child and our adoption was surprisingly fast – it was less than nine months from when we first saw our daughters picture to when we brought her home! We had a smooth process of adoption through CHI. When we initially inquired, we were given honest answered to our questions, and any request for additional information was quickly granted. From the application process to the post-adoption reports, CHI had extremely timely responses to emails, which is critical in an adoption process. Also, our on-the-ground support in-country was the best we could have asked for. We are so thankful for our children and for the role CHI played in growing our family.

Everyone working at CHI has been wonderful! They were very involved during every step of the process and were always available for questions. While staying in Poland for six weeks we felt supported the entire time. We were able to really enjoy our time in Warsaw because Grace (our in-country contact) was amazing and we continued to have contact with everyone at CHI in the States. We worked with two other agencies before learning about CHI and we found CHI to be heads and shoulders above the standards of the other agencies.
