About The Children

Children waiting in Jamaica for a forever home on Jamaica’s waiting list range from 5-15 years old and will be developmentally delayed and may have a physical special need.

It is possible for a family to submit their dossier to the Jamaican central authority for a direct referral. CHI can only assist families who intend to finalize the adoption in Jamaica.

Eligibility

Married couples and single individuals are allowed to adopt from Jamaica.
All prospective parents must be no younger than 25 years.

Travel and Time Frame

Travel

There is a four-month trip required in order to finalize your adoption.

Time Frame

Depending on the ages and special needs of the child(ren) the average time frame 2 -3 or more years.
Process

ADOPTION PROCESS

Our team has many years of experience and takes great care of our families from start to finish. CHI’s International Specialist is an adoptive mom and also has over 20 years of experience.  She will be available should you have any questions before and during your stay.   We look forward to helping you adopt from Jamaica!
